Overview

A routine audit flagged pitted welds inside two raw-milk receival vessels at the Maleny dairy co-op — a food-safety risk that threatened their certification. We ground out every affected seam, re-welded with purged 316L TIG, then polished, passivated and documented the bores to a sanitary finish.

Dairy hygiene rules shaped the whole job: confined-space permits, captive tools, full washdown before handover. The plant passed re-audit with the vessels noted as exemplary.
