Overview

Portside Logistics had a 72-hour maintenance window to replace six corroded carbon-steel spools on a washdown line. We pre-fabricated every spool in Wacol from laser-verified site measurements, then cut out, fitted, TIG-welded and hydro-tested the lot across two night shifts.

The risk was restart day: any leak would idle the berth. Every root was argon-purged, every weld mapped, and the line held test pressure first attempt — handed back eight hours inside the window.

• Laser measure and off-site spool fabrication

• Hydro-test, weld maps and QA dossier
• New supports, gaskets and corrosion coating
